Brief bio
I grew up in Damascus, Syria, where art and culture were all around me. The beauty of Arabic calligraphy has always captivated me, and I knew that I wanted to use my talents to produce something unique.
After graduating from the Adham Ismail College of Art and Design, I moved to Dubai to pursue my career in design. I worked as a designer at Kodak and on my own before joining Promoseven, the region’s preeminent advertising firm. At Promoseven, I learned the ins and outs of the advertising industry and developed my skills as a creative strategist.
In 2005, I co-founded Mashq, the first digital Arabic calligraphy tool. Mashq quickly became a popular tool among designers and calligraphers, and it helped to revolutionize the way that Arabic calligraphy is used in design.
I have also worked on a number of high-profile projects, including the launch of the Mini in the Middle East and the first phase of The Dubai Mall and The Burj Khalifa. I am a sought-after designer for my ability to create brands that are both visually appealing and culturally relevant.
I believe that Arabic calligraphy is a powerful tool that can be used to create brands that are both beautiful and meaningful. I am committed to using my skills to help businesses create brands that connect with people on a deeper level.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, sketching with ink and watercolors, and nurturing my small garden. I’m also a passionate advocate for the arts, and I’m always looking for ways to support local artists and creatives.
If you’re looking for a creative strategist and Arabic brand designer who can help you create a brand that is both visually appealing and culturally relevant, then I’m the person for you. I’m a talented designer with a deep understanding of Arabic calligraphy, and I’m committed to creating brands that make a difference.
